Sneak Peak of Donated Baskets

Boosters Wing Night for Uniforms Saturday, March 20

A sampling of "Baskets" donated for the Wing Night Fundraiser are listed below. These baskets and others will be awarded as prizes during the "Chinese Raffle" at the Wing Night Extravaganza on March 20th. Their values range between $50 and $100. In addition, there will be a 50/50 cash raffle, door prizes and a special "Independence Corn Hole" & "Liquor" basket auction.

The Boosters are sponsoring a "Wing Night" at Bleachers Sports Grill, 6855 Ridge Road, 440-888-8900, on Saturday, March 20th, from 6pm to 9pm. Food and drinks will be provided including beer, wine, and well drinks. There will be side boards, a 50/50 raffle, and basket auction. Tickets are $20 each, with proceeds going towards the purchase of new uniforms. Contact Julie Scotton at 216-642-8721 for ticket info.

Please consider a donating a basket for the auction. Be creative! Ask your employer to contribute, purchase lottery tickets, a bottle of wine, a six pack of special beer, or other delightful consumable. Contact Julie Scotton at 216-642-8721 or email.

Nominations Needed

Per our bylaws, a committe has been formed to solicit nominations for officers during the 2010-11 school year. Glenn Bierman, Elizabeth Jaszczak and Don Krolikowski will handle the task. The list at right contains the 2009-10 Music Boosters Roster. Please take a moment to review the list for possible candidates. Positions to be filled include: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, for 1 year term or until succeeded by newly elected. In addition, committee chairs are needed to fill the committees: Volunteer, Membership and Ways & Means. Contact Glenn (216-328-8538), Elizabeth (216-573-0600), or Don (216-524-8260), with your suggestion, due by March 31. Actual voting will take place on 4/28.

The Boosters were approached regarding a concession fundraising opportunity by the Independence Cultural Arts (ICA). ICA and Kiwanis have arranged to host the US Army Field Band and Chorus at IHS auditorium on Sunday 5/2 from 3-5pm. This is a very big community event. It is a free program and it is very structured and formal. Details can be obtained from Margaret Biermann (216-328-8538).
